All the wristwatches i have bought in my life …

Tag Heuer, Carrera

Tag Heuer, Carrera

Emblematic, the TAG Heuer Carrera is a proudly elegant three-hand automatic watch powered by the Calibre 5 movement. The silver white dial with matching 18k 5N rose gold plated hands and hour markers makes a distinctive statement.

Tudor, Black Bay 41

Tudor Black Bay

Another truly iconic watch in the collection is the Black Bay, waterproof to a depth of 200 metres (660 feet). The Black Bay line includes the Black Bay Ceramic with its 41 mm matt black ceramic case (available with a hybrid leather and rubber dive watch strap and a complimentary black fabric strap), Black Bay Bronze with a 43 mm bronze case and Black Bay Fifty-Eight with a 39 mm bronze, gold, silver or steel case, are all models which feature dials inspired by the TUDOR divers’ watches produced during the 1950s. The Black Bay line is the result of subtle combinations of historical aesthetic codes and contemporary watchmaking. Far from simply being an identical re-release of a classic, it brings together over 60 years of TUDOR divers’ watches at the same time as being resolutely anchored in the present.

Tissot, Chemin des Tourelles … powermatic 80

The Tissot Chemin des Tourelles is a very special piece that encapsulates an important part of Tissot’s history. It takes its name from the street in Le Locle, Switzerland, where the Tissot factory was established in 1907, and where the company can still be found today. The watch compliments the company’s vast years of expertise with a contemporary design with an elegant caseThe result is wonderfully luxurious, but still easily accessible thanks to the good value Tissot is still proud to offer.

Powermatic 80

An automatic watch is powered by the energy of the person who wears it. Wrist movement enables the mechanism to run. The Powermatic 80 movement boasts 80 hours of power reserve, which is enough to continue telling time accurately even if the watch is not worn for three days. It is an innovative movement that outperforms the competition, whose movements generaly provide 1.5 days of power reserve.

Sapphire

A sapphire crystal gives a watch the following properties: extremely high resistance to impact and superior screen and hand readability thanks to its transparency. Because it is the strongest material after diamonds, it is used in fine timepieces for its anti-scratch prowess. Sapphire crystals can take many forms and give the watch a variety of looks: flat, domed, concave or ground.

Water resistance

All Tissot watch cases undergo several tests, including a water resistance check. Tissot tests the watch’s ability to resist impacts and pressure, as well as the penetration of liquids, gas and dust by replicating the real-life conditions in which the watch may find itself.

When used with a heart rate monitor¹, fēnix 3 crunches data, including your running speed, beats per minute and heart rate variability to estimate the maximum volume of oxygen you can consume per minute. Track changes to your VO2 max to see your fitness gains and to compare with your peers. Other fitness metrics include recovery advisor with a recovery timer and recovery check, plus a race predictor, which estimates your ideal finish time based on your current VO2 max number.

All the Numbers to Measure a Runner

Once running gets serious fenix 3 Sapphire with optional HRM-Run heart rate monitor tracks all the advanced metrics that are needed to better understand and improve:

Advanced Running Dynamics analyse your running:

  • Vertical oscillation and ratio — the degree of ‘bounce’ in your running motion and the benefit ration to stride length
  • Ground contact time and balance — shows how much time, in the running motion, your foot is on the ground rather than in flight and lets you check your running symmetry
  • Cadence — number of steps per minute
  • Stride length — determines a responsive current pace

Physiological metrics measure your heart to provide:

  • Stress score – fēnix 3 measures your heart rate variability while standing still, for 3 minutes, to provide you with an estimated stress level. The scale of this is 1 to 100, low scores indicate lower stress levels
  • Performance condition – After running for 6-20 minutes, fēnix 3 compares your real-time condition to your average fitness levels
  • Lactate threshold – Through analysis of your pace and heart rate, fēnix 3 estimates the point where your muscles start to rapidly fatigue

fēnix 3 Sapphire is for the athlete that wants to track his performance in various sports. Beyond running it has also special features that support swim training, skiing, rowing sports, including stand up paddle boarding and even golfing. Certina DS Multi-8

certina-ds-multi-8-watch-c0204191105700-1

The house of Certina is famous for its high-precision sports watches, and this year, the Swiss watchmaker has distinguished itself with an innovative timepiece.  New DS Multi-8 watch, with its multifunctional quartz movement, an analogue and digital display and easy-to-use functions, will appeal to world travelers, as well as businessmen.

It is equipped with a unique ETA E49.531 quartz analog/digital 8-function movement which is the main asset of this new wristwatch. It brings a set of highly useful features, such as twin “time-swap” timezones over its analog hour and minute hands, and complete calendar-week information, a timer, an alarm (it can be set for vibration or sound) and a chronograph on the digital display, fitted with a backlight. All these functions come alive at the push of its three control buttons, set on the left side of its case. The upper and lower buttons are slightly smaller while the central button, set at the 3 o’clock, is larger and thicker, and carries the letters ‘DS’ monogram upon its smoothly rounded tip.

Its 42 mm round case is crafted from high-quality 316L stainless steel and it boasts contrasting brushed and polished surfaces. The front side of the case is protected by a high-grade sapphire crystal, with internal and external glare-proofed coating, to insure optimal reading of hands and digital display. The water-resistance of its case is assured down to 100 meters (330 feet).

A modern and sleek dial comes in black color and features Superluminova-coated hour and minute hands, indices and Arabic numerals at the quarter hours. Superluminova insures readability under all conditions. A small LCD screen with a sharp backlight is positioned at the 6 o’clock.

DS Multi-8 timepiece is available with either a brown leather strap with a butterfly clasp and twin push-buttons (referent number C020.419.16.057.00), or with a matching three-row 316L stainless steel bracelet with polished central links and brushed outer links, held together by a folding safety buckle (the referent number is C020.419.11.057.00). Certina announced that a fully titanium version will be also available.

For those who are looking for a watch with a classic design and fine craftsmanship, the DS Multi-8 watch might be a perfect choice. With its great sport-classic good looks it easily spans all lifestyles. The price depends on a model. The brown strap version is about $930, while the model with a stainless steel bracelet is approximately $970.

 Tissot T-Touch Navigator 3000

tissot-t-touch-navigator-watch-1

One of the first timepieces from Swiss watchmaker, with a revolutionary touch-screen technology is a Tissot T-Touch Navigator 3000 from T-Touch Collection. With simple touch on screen glass you can access all its functions. When you once activate a touch crystal by pressing on the crown, you can interact entirely with this T-Touch watch by touching the crystal in different locations.

Tissot T-Touch Navigator 3000 WatchThe 42,5 mm round case with 12,5 mm thickness is crafted in stainless steel and incorporates a fixed bezel with black embossed functions. A black round dial with luminous hands and triangle hour markers includes a large LCD screen positioned at 6 o’clock. The stainless steel bracelet with push button locking clasp has a little bit sharper edges and it could be uncomfortable, but other model comes with enjoyable black leather strap.

Tissot T-Touch Navigator 3000 WatchT-Touch Navigator is equipped with highly accurate and precise Swiss E45.301 quartz movement and it is water resistance to 30 meters. This is a similar movement to those movements that are integrated into the T-Touch Expert and the Sea-Touch watches.

Several advanced functions

Swiss manufacturer crafted first watch that was capable of displaying multiple time zones back in 1853. That was a pocket timepiece. The original Navigator was created in mid-20th century, and this newest model comes with several new and very advanced features.

The Navigator is a perfect travel watch. You have access to the current time in 150 cities worldwide, and if your city is not included you can add it manually. It can operate in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese.

Another significant feature of this man’s watch is a chronograph that measures time at a resolution of 1/100 of a second while the total duration is under one hour. For start and stop functions you must use a crown witch is, in my opinion, more precise than using the touch-crystal.

It also has a calendar mode that displays the date in one of three different modes: day/date, seconds/date, or week number. You can illuminate a LCD screen by rotating the crown with a pretty modern red color, instead standard blue or green backlight, and simply increase or decrease the intensity of backlight by turning the crown to the right or to the left side. After that, the LCD remains illuminated for 10 seconds.

The Navigator 3000 has two separate alarms that can be programmed for over seven days and with a choice of five melodies.

This sporty watch is equipped with a countdown timer that allows you to set hours, minutes and seconds, to a maximum time of 23:59:59. It also comes with an energy saving mode. For example, if you do not plan on using it for a certain time, you can put it into an energy saving mode. The LCD screen will become blank and the hands will indicate 6:30. When you want to reactivate the Navigator, you can do that easily by pressing the crown for two seconds.

Tissot T-Touch Navigator 3000 is a timepiece for the common traveler. With outstanding price (about 400 dollars) this Tissot watch is exactly what people who travel overseas and across multiple time zones must have.
